Roller Shade Measuring Information
There are 3 different ways roller shades can be ordered - INSIDE MOUNT, OUTSIDE MOUNT AND CLOTH MEASUREMENT: Consider the methods below using 50" width as an example. (The measurements in these examples are approximate)INSIDE MOUNT EXAMPLE:
If the width ordered is 50" for INSIDE MOUNT, if you assembled the hardware, that is, slide the clutch onto one end of the roller tube, place the end cap on the other end of the roller tube and place the brackets on each end the measurement details will be:
The overall width from the outside edge of one bracket to the outside edge of the other bracket will be 49 7/8 "
The width of fabric will be 48 ¾"
The gap (the distance between the fabric and the edge of the window encasement) on the clutch side will be 5/8" and the gap on the non clutch side will be ½"
OUTSIDE MOUNT EXAMPLE:
If the width ordered is 50" for OUTSIDE MOUNT, if you assembled the hardware, that is, slide the clutch onto one end of the roller tube, place the end cap on the other end of the roller tube and place the brackets on each end the measurement details will be:
The overall width from the outside edge of one bracket to the outside edge of the other bracket will be 50"
The width of fabric will be 48 7/8
CLOTH MEASUREMENT EXAMPLE:
If the width ordered is 50" for CLOTH MEASUREMENT, if you assembled the hardware, that is, slide the clutch onto one end of the roller tube, place the end cap on the other end of the roller tube and place the brackets on each end the measurement details will be:
The overall width from the outside edge of one bracket to the outside edge of the other bracket will be 51 1/8"
The width of fabric will be 50"
