|Phifer Style 7000 is uniquely designed to provide total light blackout when room darkening is required. Black-Out and Room Darkening are terms that the industry uses for fabrics in which light does not penetrate. As with any blind or shade even though light will not penetrate this fabric light will still enter the room through the sides, top and bottom of the shade. If near total darkness is required for rooms such as Home Theaters, Media Rooms and Business Laboratories this fabric and shade can be used with our optional Side and Sill system. You can learn more about near total blackout from the brochure page in this same category titled Home Theater/Media Room/Lab Black Out Side & Sill System.
Style 7000 Phifer fabric, with a broad range of decorator colors and the look and feel of rich cloth, will enhance the beauty and functionality of any room.
Style 7000 has a maximum width of 96". Any roller shade with a panel width greater than the width of the fabric will be "railroaded" (fabric is turned on its side and may be seamed). Any panel with a height greater than the maximum fabric width less 5" will have one or more visible horizontal seams.
Primo Roller Shade information:
Roller shades have been around for many years due to their practicality and economy. Today they are enjoying resurgence in popularity due to their decorative flexibility. Roller shades, depending on type of fabrics, can also provide solutions for certain problems, such as, light, heat, glare and UV rays. HotBlinds.com offers a variety of fabrics on most of our roller shades to assist you with specific problems that you may be encountering. Please don"t hesitate to call us for advice.
Our Primo line of roller shades is extremely high quality in every respect. For smooth, trouble free performance all Primo shades are equipped with a heavy duty Rollease Clutch System. This superior clutch system enables the roller shade to hold any desired position precisely and maintain that height with zero slippage. Adjacent Primo/Rollease shades can be set easily to exactly matching heights and have the smallest light gap in the industry. The shades raise and lower smoothly and easily, requiring only about half as much force as raising a comparable shade with a friction brake system. No adjustments are ever needed. The roller shade is operated with a #10 plastic bean chain that is actually rated to handle more weight than a steel chain. You have your choice of a black clutch and black chain or a white clutch and white chain. If you do not select a color for the clutch and chain the factory will color coordinate it for you. The controls/clutch can be placed on either side in the field at the time of installation. However, if you order the optional fascia with the shade you should select the side on which you want the controls - right side or left side. If you don"t select the side, the controls will be placed on the right side by the fabricator. To order this option place a check in the appropriate box below. Price varies depending on the width of the shade.
For extra stability, the Primo roller shades have a heavy duty aluminum roller tube that is 1" in diameter. To add strength this roller tube has 3 spline grooves. The fabric is inserted into a spline which provides a very positive fabric attachment. On some competitor's shades the fabric is taped or glued to the roller tube. Primo shades also have an extruded heavy-weight aluminum hem bar which provides extra stability on larger shades. The exterior of the hem bar is wrapped with the shades fabric for uniform appearance and the fabric is attached to the hem bar with double wrapped inserted spline system for extra strength. Aluminum bars are better than wood because aluminum does not warp.
The width of the shade with the hardware attached to the ends of the roller tube is called the "tip to tip" measurement. Please be aware that the fabric cannot be and will not be as wide as the "tip to tip" measurement. This is true for all roller shades. On all roller shades that utilize the Rollease clutch the fabric will be approximately 1" less wide than the "tip to tip" measurement. There will be a 3/4" on one side and a 1/2" light gap on the other side. In addition to "outside mount" and "inside mount" roller shades can be ordered "cloth measurement/outside mount.
