Comfortex blends luminous sheers with appealing versatility to create distinctive Window Shadings. View the world with sheer wonder. Theyre soft and luxurious as they are unique. The horizontal fabric vanes float between two layers of translucent sheers for a softened outside view when in the open "view through" position. *The stylish horizontal shadings combine light control similar to horizontal blinds with the elegance of sheer fabric the function of Venetian blinds with the softness of sheers. The adjustable fabric vanes can be open or closed, raised or lowered. And, unlike any other window shading, with the Omni-View Cord System, Shangri-La can be raised up to 24" with the vanes still open. Completely open, completely closed or anywhere in between, Shangri-La offers flexibility. With the pull of a cord they strike a balance between beauty, privacy and practicality - a creative blend of form and function.
This shade has 3" light filtering vanes.
Controls are on the right side as standard but you may select left side controls for no additional charge. You may select either a bead chain or nylon cord to operate your Shangri-La Shading. Both allow you to raise, lower and tilt the shade. Shangri-La's head rail must be installed level. This is an easy step in the installation process and the head rail comes with shims for this purpose.
All Shangri-La Shadings utilize a cord tensioner. The device keeps the bead chain or nylon cord taut to prevent children and pets from entangling and subsequently injuring themselves.
* Shangri-La fabric vanes overlap and provide privacy when closed. However, the inherent nature of the fabric will cause a slight increase in the distance from the front sheer to the back shear as you move further down the shading. These vanes do not form a perfect seal against light leakage, which is most visible toward the bottom of the shading.
While beautiful and pleasing to the eye all Comfortex products are designed to be durable, easily cared for and easily cleaned. The soft, delicate feel of the Shangri-La fabrics belies the durability of the material. Shangri-la is made from a sturdy, knitted polyester fabric that can be feather dusted or vacuumed at a low setting. Spots or stains can be lightly rubbed clean with a damp sponge and mild soap. Shangri-La Fabric may be ultrasonically or traditionally cleaned to stay bright but, to avoid discoloration of the material, Comfortex recommends against the use of chemical cleaners.

Shangri-La Eternitys light defusing vanes and double sheers create a unique visual experience. The Eternity vanes gently filter light to give rooms a warm, calming glow while providing an impressive range of light control. *They combine the control and viewing options of Venetian blinds with the soft elegant look of drapery shears.
Three different headrails are available and are no additional charge UltraSleek headrail, Deluxe headrail and Color Coordinated Aluminum headrail.
The UltraSleek head rail is white aluminum with a matching fabric insert. Note: The UltraSleek headrail is standard on Shangri-La shades with Eternity, Linen and Moonlight Fabrics up to 84 wide and 84 in length. On shades exceeding 84 wide and 84 in length you must select the Deluxe headrail or the Color Coordinated Aluminum headrail.
The Deluxe head rail is white aluminum and has a matching fabric insert.
The Color Coordinated Aluminum headrail is color coordinated with Shangri-La fabric colors.
